So, I'm sitting here at an Au Bon Pain because they have Internet access and not blocked by corporate firewalls (I know, I'm a dork), and I was hungry too. Anyway, sitting at the table in front of me is this young woman who has been eating and talking on her mobile phone at the same time. First of all, that is one of my biggest pet peeves because if I was the other person on the line, I don't want to hear you chew your damn food. If you want to talk, then call me after you're done, but I'm not interested in hearing your salad crunching in my ear. Moving on, this person has been talking to for the last 30 minutes (and man do I feel sorry for that person!) about her relationship and how she wants to move to California to be with her boyfriend, but she's hesitant because he doesn't want to talk about marriage. She's been going on and on about personal realtionship problems, why he sucks, why she's great, blah blah blah. And perhaps this is the normal process for women to discuss their relationship problems, but in a public place where everyone can hear you? I don't care to hear, though I guess by writing about it, I'm just a snoop now . . . or just enjoying people watching.
